Abstract

The rapid expansion of space infrastructure has rendered the notion that satellite systems are isolated and secure obsolete. Modern space systems, including SmallSats and megaconstellations, face significant cyber risks due to shared, complex supply chains and reliance on software-defined operations. This presentation explores the "illusion of isolation" by identifying key vulnerabilities in satellite-ground communications and onboard systems.
