Topic & Speaker

Business-Integrated Security, A Workable Approach

William D. Reed, Cyber Risk Advisor, Optiv Security

Everyone knows that Cyber Security is overdue for major changes. If one was to be guided by the noise in the industry, every organization has already been hacked, we must spend more against the odds, and somehow there is a level of investment that could stop all the attackers from harming us. We must change our thinking about the nature of our challenges if we truly want to make improvements. In this presentation, we will look at cyber security differently; from the inside-out, starting with our businesses (i.e., mission, culture, operating model). This change in perspective will provide both clarity and sanity for those for those on the front lines defending our digital world. It will improve how we team with others in our organizations to better support achieving our organizations business needs. Cyber security will move from a bolt-on to fully integrated into the business to fulfill its mission of managing risk.
